We’ll be selling handmade items, as well as brand new and pre-loved products to help support our brothers and sisters in Lebanon. We’ll also be giving out free moneyboxes for our ‘a dollar a day till Ramadaun’ project. We will also fundraising for Somalia (through SODA) by selling some products such as Yemeni perfumes, creams, honey, black seed oil, Siwak, umbrellas, henna, soap as well as badges and stickers. New project: Auction for a sister in need of a neck operation

Assalamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullauhi wa barakaatuh.

We are auctioning this beautiful oriental ‘abaayah for a sister in
need in Lebanon who needs a neck operation. we need to raise $US
3,300. She actually happens to be the gatekeeper of the school my mum
used to go to as a kid, if anyone has heard of “At-tadreeb school” in
abou Samrau, Tripoli. This ‘abaayah can make a perfect Eid present
especially for an older lady!

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who alleviates the suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of the world, Allah would alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection, and he who finds relief for one who is hard pressed, Allah would make things easy for him in the Hereafter…..

I write this email to you as I’m a parent and I know most of you are parents as well. I’m helping a very close brother raise some funds to bring his sick son home from Sydney Childrens hospital in Randwick. I have followed this case from the day the baby boy was born and now they are in need of funds to buy special medical equipment and fit out a van with special disability equipment as well to cater for their very sick baby boy. In this blessed month please take the time to go through the attached portfolio and you will see the severity of the situation yourself and try your utmost best to donate and raise funds from your friends and family through email, sms and every mean you have.

Dear Generous Donors,

A fierce drought in East Africa has prompted a call for international aid for struggling citizens in Somalia. This is the worst food crisis to hit East Africa in the last 60 years.

Over 10 million people are affected ! Close to three million people, that is one in three Somalis, are in dire need of humanitarian assistance (food, clean water and basic sanitation).

The markets are empty, the Food prices are rising dramatically, children are malnourished and people and livestock are starving to death.

Please dig deep into your pockets and donate towards this project from your heart and remember its not just a project, this is about feeding your brothers and sisters and giving them the basic needs that we may take for granted.

Remember Allah alleviates the suffering of the one one who alleviates the suffering of a beleiver.

Update – Indonesian earthquake, volcano and tsunami 2010

jazakumu-llahu khairan (may Allah reward you ) for all
the donations for last year’s Indonesian Natural disaster appeal and we
apologize for the late update.We now have a new crew who will
regularly update you on projects insha ‘Allauh.

Sister Ummu Nabeelah ,may Allah (swt) reward her sent us a
report on the fundraising appeal in which she mentioned
Alghuraba Foundation of Australia collected by 28/12/2010 $325
a further humble amount was also donated by Lebanon Aid.

Al Ghuraba foundation in Indonesia visited the affeced area of Mentawi.
All donations went towards supplying basic needs to the displaced
people such as food, water,equipment forbabies, pregnant women & breast-feeding
mothers, as well as muslim womens’ clothing.

Once again may Allah reward you all for donating and spreading the word.

Moroccan Appeal: Operation

Praying this finds you in the best of all conditions.

A trusted Moroccan sister sent us the following:
The reason i am writting this letter is to tell you about a brother with the name of Mohamed Baissa born in Morocco in the city of Tetuan. Mohamed is a father of 3 kids and doesnt’ have enough income to pay for his operation which he needs to undergo urgently. Below is a translation of the attached doctor’s certificate.
‘THE SURGERY TO BE DONE TO MR BAISSA MOHAMED IN APRIL 2011 COSTS
4000 DIRHAM (about AUD $480). THE OPERATION IS TO BE DONE ON THE ANAL FISTULA.’
The operation was supposed to be in the middle of April, but for financial
reasons it hasn’t been done yet.
now please if you can help him it will be a big thing by Allah.

Come on brothers and sisters, its not much at all ! its less than $500, I’m sure we can do it inshaa’allauh!
